Regina McClellan
Regina McClellan is a founding and managing partner of McClellan & Corren. Ms. McClellan aggressively represents clients in all aspects of litigation. She focuses on large-loss and highly litigated or complex claims, including Labor Code section 132a, serious and willful misconduct, and subrogation claims. Ms. McClellan effectively handles applicant, doctor, and witness depositions, conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. She prepares Medicare analysis and Set-Aside arrangements for several national clients. Ms. McClellan has extensive post-trial experience, including writing and answering petitions for reconsideration, appeals and oral argument before the First District Court of Appeal. She provides counsel and client training on many complex workers' compensation, Medicare, and other employment-related issues.
Previously, Ms. McClellan served as staff counsel for Liberty Mutual. Having joined the firm in 1996, she became a managing attorney there in 1998, and remained with the firm until she co-founded McClellan & Corren in 2003. At Liberty Mutual, Ms. McClellan headed attorney teams for several national clients including complex or large-loss and penalty teams.
Ms. McClellan received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and was admitted to the California Bar in 1995. While in law school, Ms. McClellan worked as a law clerk for a workers' compensation firm and as a claims examiner and hearing representative for Helmsman Management Services.
Ms. McClellan received her Bachelor of Science degree in political science and Spanish from the University of Illinois in 1990.
Edye Corren
Edye Corren is a founding and managing partner of McClellan & Corren. Ms. Corren has represented clients in workers' compensation cases since 1995. Currently, she focuses her practice in all aspects of litigation, including Medicare issues, Labor Code section 132a, serious and willful misconduct, and subrogation claims. She handles complex litigation and high-value claims, including the defense in asbestos claims. Ms. Corren successfully defends clients in all phases of litigation, including depositions of applicants and experts, conferences, arbitrations, trials, and written appeals. She advises clients on Medicare Set-Aside issues, reviews files for MSA calculations, and prepares MSA proposals. Ms. Corren has obtained CMS approval on multiple Set-Aside arrangements. She also provides training and advice for clients and has served as a guest speaker at seminars in advanced workers' compensation, including workshops sponsored by Lorman Education Services and the Association of Insurance Professionals.
Previously, Ms. Corren worked as an attorney for Schmit, Morris, Bittner & Schmit, and then as staff counsel for Liberty Mutual for five years before co-founding McClellan & Corren. While with Liberty Mutual, she interviewed, trained, and supervised law clerks, paralegals, and new attorneys. She also assisted with supervising high-value files and was team leader for structured settlements.
Ms. Corren received her Juris Doctorate from Whittier School of Law in Southern California and was admitted to the California Bar in 1994. While in law school, she clerked for Judge Gerald Cohn at the Agoura Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and for the defense firm Griffin & Griffin.
Ms. Corren received her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Connecticut in 1990.
Sara Angelini
Sara Angelini is an associate attorney with McClellan & Corren. Ms. Angelini focuses her practice exclusively in the area of workers' compensation defense. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Golden Gate University School of Law and was admitted to practice in California in 2001. Ms. Angelini earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree from West Virginia University in 1995. She also holds a Master of Sciences degree from West Virginia University.
Eugene Gogerman
Eugene Gogerman is an associate attorney with McClellan & Corren. Mr. Gogerman focuses his practice primarily in the area of workers' compensation. He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to the areas of employment discrimination, insurance defense, subrogation, and general litigation. Mr. Gogerman received his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Francisco. He has been admitted to practice law in California since 2003 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
Talia Jefferson
Talia Jefferson is an associate attorney with McClellan & Corren. Ms. Jefferson focuses her practice in the area of workers' compensation. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Santa Clara University School of Law and is admitted to practice in California. As an undergraduate, Ms. Jefferson attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and a Bachelor of Sciences degree in psychology.
